How do i install the extension plug-in? i do not have the "connect(Beta)" in my easy appointment menu

You need to install regular EasyAppointments and then download Extension from checkout mail that you have received and install that as well via upload plugin option :)

I tried to upload it, but the file was not a valid zip file.

You are right, there are some issues with zips created on Mac and WordPress. Will update it and send you the new link.
