iCal not working

SupportiCal not working
joris_lemmens Staff asked 5 years ago
When I turn on iCal functionality, no emails get sent out at all on confirmation.   When I turn it back off, emails work normally.

Hi Joris, iCal use temp file location settings inside PHP. Most likely you don't have that value in settings. Also one thing can cause problem and that is TimeZone settings inside Settings > General in admin panel. TimeZone should be selected with Name instead of time offset (for example UTC+1). Best regards, Nikola

Can you please also check php error log file on your hosting?

Best regards,
Nikola

Dear Nikola,
thank you for the fast reply.
– I changed the timezone to ‘Denver’ (did not make a difference)
– no errors in log
– I am not clear on where to set the value for temp file location?

Thank you,
Joris

ps: I do see a temp folder inside wp-content. Some (empty) folders EAC+number…

joris_lemmens Staff replied 5 years ago

and I do have a value for ‘Name of ICS file in attachment.’ (unchanged, ‘appointment’).

reinstalled both plugins. everything seems to be working now…not sure why.
before it created the unique temp folder, but not the actual file.
Oh well!

Hi Joris, thanks for update. Looks like that folder instead of file prevented ical file from being generated, which sounds weird :(.

Best regards,
Nikola
