issue with date & time format in sms
Hi Nikola, I just set up a twilio account and it appears to be working but had a couple of questions.
- Date & Time Format seem to convert back to 2017-12-18 & 16:00:00 (Instead of December 18, 2017 & 4:00 pm). FYI...Email notification is formatting it in the correct latter format based on WP>Settings>General. - SMS and Email notifications for the accept and cancel options are currently long links. Is there a way to turn these into single configurable words (text), such as Accept / Decline? Thank Mark

Hi Mark,
I will have to check regarding time formatting. About Accept/Decline SMS can hold only simple text. There were some suggestion to allow for example url shortener to fix links. Is that ok solution for you?
Best regards,
Nikola
From the little research I've done, URL shorteners may be the solution, but I fear they may only be a temp solution. Looks like such "masking" to end users email/sms systems "Could" cause blacklisting, blocking, etc. I think everyone looking for solution for this problem is looking for 2 things. A much shorter "Link" for the user to click on and something that looks better. For me I am sending email and SMS appointments out to clients to "Accept" or "Decline" the appointment, so the both the email and txt message are quite lengthy.
The configurable Accept/Decline suggestion was to ask, is there a way to do something in the lines of adding a new configurable field utilizing a <href> (or some other code) that the end user would see as the link for whatever "text" we put in this configurable field for the both the #link_confirm# and #link_cancel#?
Thanks
For email that can be improved but I don't think that SMS can hold markup tags such html. In that case it will be MMS instead of SMS.
Best regards,
Nikola
I understand. Thanks
Have you had a chance to look at the Date / Time Issue?
SMS shows "2017-12-18 & 16:00:00" (Instead of email showing "December 18, 2017 & 4:00 pm")
FYI... I found this on Twilio Help Center. Not sure if it is the culprit or not?
"Change the timezone in your Twilio project
Changing the timezone in the console will not affect your API responses; all dates returned in API responses are given in RFC 2822 format."

Hi,
that time formatting issue will be solved for SMS. Looks like it is misding filters there. I will let you know as soon as it fixed
Best regards,
Nikola
Nikola, just following up on this one. It sounded like from your last response that you found the problem (missing filters?) Just wondering when you think this will be fixed as it is confusing for most recipients of SMS appointments to see the time in this format. Thanks, Mark
There were some delay on this but it should be done in next version during this weekend.
Best regards,
Nikola
Nikola, I see that WP is showing EA has a new version available. I've never heard back from you on the above issue, but see the new version has "additional filter" but for mail. Not sure if this is the sms fix you referred to above or not. Can you let me know.
Thanks.
Also. I have never gone through a WP Plugin UPDATE. Is there a way to go back to previous EA verson if needed. I didn't see any documentation on your site or ways to install older version. Let me know.
Thanks.
