It appears the database for the plugin has grown to ~140MB and is causing the plugin and the site to run very slowly. Is there a way to purge the cache or delete old data via other means?

Wow :D atm there is no such option but looking at your case there should be one definitely. If you have access to db tool such as phpmyadmin you can empty those table. EA data is in separate own tables named ea_... . If you want I can do that for you. Best regards, Nikola
